On this 3-day safari, you’ll take a safari into the Serengeti after your beach holiday in this short Serengeti fly-in safari. The scenic flight takes you from Zanzibar into the wild north of Tanzania. The Serengeti is home to ample wildlife, hosts one of Africa’s largest populations of lions, and is the scene where the annual wildebeest migration occurs.
Day by Day
Arrival
You will be collected from the airport as needed. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged at an extra cost.
Day 1: Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park (Fly-in + Game Drives)
You will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your scheduled flight to the Serengeti Airstrip. On arrival in Serengeti in the morning, your safari guide will meet you and the game drive begins immediately as you explore the wildlife-rich plains of Central Serengeti. You will enjoy game drives through the afternoon, then head to your lodge/camp for lunch and a short rest before returning for an evening game drive. As the day ends, you’ll experience a beautiful Serengeti sunset while continuing to search for wildlife before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Serengeti Game Drive, Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in Serengeti, exploring different areas of the park in search of big cats, elephants, and large grazing herds. You will return to the lodge/camp for lunch, then check out and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will arrive in the evening at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, beautifully located on the crater rim with stunning views. After check-in, enjoy dinner and rest early in preparation for your early crater descent the next morning.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive, Transfer to Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, with a special focus on searching for the black rhino, one of the most difficult animals to spot. The crater floor offers exceptional wildlife viewing and is home to a wide variety of animals including elephants, hyenas, lions, and many other species, creating one of the most rewarding safari experiences in Tanzania. You will stop for a picnic lunch at the hippo lake, then continue game viewing before ascending back to the crater rim. After returning to the lodge, you will check out and drive to Arusha Airport for your afternoon flight back to Zanzibar.
