Arrival

On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Accommodation before the safari starts can be arranged at an extra cost.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, City Sightseeing

You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa. A city sightseeing tour is included as part of your Day 1 experience, giving you a relaxed introduction to Arusha and local culture. The excursion includes visits to local markets, the Maasai market, Cultural Heritage Centre, and the Arusha City Museum before returning to the hotel for lunch/dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha to Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

After breakfast, we will pick you up from the hotel with a packed lunch and drive to Ndutu (approximately 5.5 hours / 260 km). After about two hours, you will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and notice the landscape changing from hilly forest to wide open plains and green grasslands that gradually blend into the Serengeti ecosystem. Ndutu is a key region of the Great Migration route, hosting huge herds of wildebeest and zebras during the season. Between December and April, the area becomes famous for calving and nursery grounds, attracting predators and creating very active wildlife scenes around Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek. In the evening, you will arrive at camp, relax, and enjoy dinner and overnight in the heart of the migration zone.

Day 3: Ndutu Game Drive, Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in the Ndutu area, enjoying more wildlife viewing across the plains and woodland patches. After a half-day safari and a picnic lunch, you will drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater rim (about 75 km / around 2.5 hours), with chances of mild game viewing along the way as the scenery changes into cooler highland landscapes. The day ends with arrival at your lodge on the crater rim, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for the crater descent the next morning.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive, Return to Arusha / Airport Drop-off

After an early start and quick breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at around 6:30am for a game drive on the crater floor. This is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas, offering strong chances to see a wide range of animals in a relatively compact space, including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, lions, and, with luck, the black rhino. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, you will ascend the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha (about 4 hours). You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha in the evening or transferred to the airport for your departure.
